We did something different for George’s birthday 2019.
Road trip to Tampa, Florida.
As we pulled into the covered garage area… we were greeted by an AC/DC quote for sure we had to get our ‘rockin’ attitude in gear.
The hallway displayed Rock and Roll memorabilia. So many big names such as Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Nicks. One could spend a whole day just looking at all the displays!
The birthday boy was playing elusive every time I tried to snap a picture, so I did the next best thing – took a selfie and ‘accidently’ caught myself a large sized pokemon.
As much as we wanted to do a walk-about around the gaming room, we couldn’t dream of doing that on an empty stomach. Prior to driving out to Hard Rock I checked online for the dining spots and I had suggested we try Fresh Harvest Buffet. I was surprised at how expensive dining was… I was told that usually the dining is quite affordable. But heck, we were there for the birthday boy and penny pinching was not an option. Fresh Harvest Buffet had good pickings – from Italian, Sushi, American, plus a very nice salad bar and dessert station. At the end of they day – the price was on the mark.
There was one piece or Rock and Roll memorabilia that was meant to catch everybody’s eye – Elvis Presley’s Grand Piano – painted in gold leaf – it definitely made a statement – the ‘king of Rock-N-Roll is in the house’.
When it comes to playing at casinos… I definitely will say the word of choice is playing – because these are games of chance. If you didnt go there to eat, laugh and have a good time – that’s not the place for you.
