The number of people losing their homes to foreclosure across the country is now outstripping the number of new homes being built.
RealtyTrac reported more than 860,000 homes were foreclosed last year. Overall, banks and other lenders sent out more than 3 million foreclosure notices last year.
Through The Helpful Hands Foundation, George and I have developed a temporary program that aims at being a part of the solution by educating homeowners regarding identifying solutions for home retention while educating industry related partners in mediation techniques.
Currently we offer free foreclosure counseling workshops and discuss the importance of reviewing the mortgage contract and promissory note, how to identify fraud, what process is the most effective in communicating with lender and most of all communicating to homeowners that they will get through these hard times. We do offer mediation services at a cost.
