As we pulled out of one of the local plazas we looked up towards the sky to see blazoning ball of fire rise high up in the sky leaving behind a puffy streak of jet cloud behind it.

Back in the 1950’s sending a man out in space was a fascination. This weekend 7 people went up in space. Some people didn’t even know that space shuttle Discover was lifting off on a 13 day mission carrying with it solar panels to finish building the International Space Station. Aside from installing the solar panel, the Kibo laboratory is the addition on the ISS where most of the Zero Gravity experiments will take place. They will also install the water purification system that converts urine and condensates into drinkable water. (So they say)
Dream, vision and determination made yesterday’s impossibility just another day in space.
