“You can not travel within and stand still without” As a Man Thinketh by James Allen.
What powerful choice of words. I believe that to affect any serious external growth you would have to make a commitment to yourself first. A commitment that rings inside of you that as long as you are breathing…
as long as you are conscious…
you will do whatever it takes to keep growing.
If natures is teacher of simple and basic truths, then I truly believe that the day you stop growing then you stop living.
Through the course of my life, I’ve experienced peaks and valleys. Yet one thing has been ever present… growth.
You might agree with me that not all growth is visible. Some of our best transformations has come from within. I personally am going through intangible inner growth right now, while some people may be quick to point out some external or physical changes the biggest transformation that I am going through is internal.
I know I’m on the right path when people tell me how relaxed and peaceful they feel around me.
Sometimes it feels awkward, like I a new pair of shoes and I’m trying to connect with this part of me that either is new or is trying to emerge. Seeking a deeper relationship with myself in search of peace and beauty and hoping to transmute these externally not by my appearance but through my deeds. That is the journey I find myself: growing from within.
