I believe that there is so much fluidity to life. It appears that even words are measured by the culture we live in. How does an ordinary housewife and mother measure success?
Do we measure success by the breath of a persons life? or can we isolate certain segments? While some people may measure success by a financial measuring stick. I would like to believe that there is more to success.
There is more to success when in the depth of our soul we seek to attune our soul to the external experiences we have. We may lose our way as we journey onward, only to discover we have found our soul.
As a parent, success means to me the ability to translate the invisible (God’s) Love and Peace in my daily expression so that my child has a path to walk on.
Dolly Parton (songstress and songwriter) was asked what does she attribute her success to, her answer: “I never stopped trying and I never tried stopping”.
One of my favorite songs written by Dolly Parton is.. Jolene.
Love the early version of her singing it:
and love this version which starts with Dolly writing in her journal.. and clips to Mindy Smith singing. love love love:
