A new year…
what have we but this day?
It almost seems pretentious of us to even plan when life is so unpredictable. We could choose to be paralyzed by the unknown and not do anything at all… yet doing nothing seems to be an oxymoron as to ‘doing’ implies action.
Could we be content and flow with what the day throws at us? Or should we carry the zeal of adventure and dare to dream not for what the dream may bring us… but more so for what the journey will make of us?
We humans are so bold to set our sails onward and upward… and sail onward we must.
We live here in this lovely state of Florida where 3/4ths of our boundaries are kissed by beaches and ocean… and it amazes me that out of 365 days… ever since we moved to Central Florida we have yet to visit the beach 12 times out of a whole year.
The Cape Canaveral Beach Shore is said to be 24 miles, on one side there is the Atlantic Ocean and on the other side of this strip is the inlet. It had been years since we strolled through to the inlet side and we were pleasantly surprised to see that there was a restoration project going on.
For now… I rejoice in the blessing that I have an opportunity to be amazed at the wonders God has made for me to enjoy this day. I pray to be bold enough to still dream and humbly I set my course onward and upward… 2023 here I come.
