It’s interesting to see how easily we humans get conditioned to conform… the question is: What are we conforming to?
I say this because we just came of the heels of Mother’s Day and Geordan had previous obligations, so George and I decided that we’d go see the ocean and greet the day with a beach sunrise. Earth is a very nurturing ‘mother’.

Coming back to the question about conformity as it relates to these “Holidays”… it’s a shame that in general they appear to have been commercialized. This then seems to put a burden to conform, to buy the flowers, the gift, the vacation, the restaurant outing. No doubt I am not speaking for the ‘collective’, and while I am one that loves flowers, vacations, dining out and all the hoopla – I feel that if someone has to be reminded to love you and to show their affections then, How sincere is it?

I personally have found that when we take away all this “commercial propaganda” we come back to a place of pureness. I by no means am saying to do away with the Holidays… on the contrary, I believe we need to individually find the reason to truly celebrate and to be genuine about how and when we want to celebrate whatever holiday is being promoted.

What a delight to see Geordan have such a great time. He reminded us that it had been probably over 4 years that we had not been to the beach as a family. I think it was longer… probably since he started college. He has been so involved in his career and academic pursuits that he barely had time for himself. I’ve was there, I know. And as a parent I’ve learned my door like my heart is always open for my son. It is because we all have this one precious life to live, this one precious life to make peace with our inner fears and cultivate our virtues that I come back to this topic:

It’s as if as you let go of the ‘human restrictions’, a portal of Divine Intelligence flows through you where nothing is forced and everything…

connects as if a perfect piece of a beautiful puzzle. There is no stress, no arguments, just simple serendipitous flow of energy. And this day was one of those days, where Geordan the night before telephoned and before hanging up the phone George mentioned we were going to the beach. Geordan said he’d love to come and if we could pick him up. We were delighted. When I got up in the morning there was a message that Haley wanted to join and I made sure to bring extra coffee and blueberry crumble.
What a delight when we follow God’s Plan… we don’t need to know it, we simply need to flow in it.
