It feels like many things are coming full circle in our lives for our family, as if God’s Grace is showering my family with Peace of Mind and Heart, from such a state of being a person can access the fountain and never run short of God’s Infinite supply.
Maybe I’m mushy… or let’s just blame it on the Spirit of the Christmas Season.
I was navigating through my social media when I read from one of our town folk that they had been getting their Christmas tree from “Santa’s Farm” in Eustis, Florida. I mentioned it to George, all I had to say was the word ‘FARM’ and he was like: “Let’s Go!”.
If you ever wanted the experience of cutting down your own Florida Christmas tree… don’t go any further, Santa’s Farm is where you need to be. Not only do they have the ‘natives’, they also offer a diverse selection of fresh cut northern trees.
I put the link in this post so you can visit their sight and get more information. We had a beautiful day visiting Santa’s Farm, going through the maze and seeing all their farm animals. I am so glad for seeing that post… it may be our next Christmas tradition.
We chose this little cute Florida Christmas Pine tree, it was already pre-cut and looked lonely among the “Northern” tree-folks. George immediately said ‘Let’s Take This One!’ – he’s such a sucker for the underdogs. The selection process was instantaneous for us, so we set aside the tree and spent the rest of the time strolling through the farm.
This year I feel a magic stirring as the one similar to Geordan’s first Christmas. Which inspired me to dig out the Mickey Mouse Christmas ornaments that had not seen the light of day since 1993.
Oh how the memories rushed in!! Little Geordan in his little Santa suit holding on to “papa-G’s” beeper. Some people have no idea what a beeper is! I just skipped a heart beat… how time flies.
I remember my own excitement in 1993 going to get a real Christmas tree, and the thought that I was doing a first with this precious little boy. I wanted it to be a special tree and one that had safe ornaments he could touch – if he was so inclined. Oddly, I don’t remember him taking down any of the ornaments. Geordan was the sweetest little boy a mother could dream of.
It has been our tradition if Geordan is not around to decorate with us we save him the last ornament to place on the tree.
I can only wish that you my Dear reader be filled with Love and Peace for your heart this Christmas Season… I have found these in mine and they are priceless gift that you can give yourself. Merry Christmas!
