Unlike the northern states Florida landscape is green all year long. Even though I am a native New Yorker the Caribbean girl in me loves the Florida climate.
Historically spring starts on the day of the vernal equinox, which usually occurs on the night of 20/21 March.
Some people tend to prefer the visual changes of season. Here in Florida the shift of seasons is felt in the air. The morning Spring air feels crisp unlike the HOT air of Summer. Which brings me to the flowering bulbs of Spring. Bulbs are my favorite garden flowers, they are dead easy to grow. You plant them and wait for the wonderful blooms.
With bulbs you can get real creative and design a bed with patterns and colors or you can do like me… just throw them around and let them surprise you.
Here I share with you one of the flowering bulbs in my garden.
