Stand Your Ground

vulture
I was driving down one of our local streets here in Florida, when lo and behold right in the middle of a two lane road — right there next to the painted divider line stood a vulture having lunch.

I was so amazed at how this creature refused to be intimidated by traffic. I slowed down to watch what the other cars were doing…and literally they were slowing down as to not hit the bird… but the bird just kept his eyes on his goal: pecking at lunch, and obviously he was not to be disturbed.

I was in such total admiration for the focus of that bird that I had to drive around and take a picture (it’s not pretty clear but you can see that the cars had to move onto the other available lanes to keep moving onward).

Daisy Says: Life is expressed in the attitude of that vulture: Stand your ground and as you do, you will fulfill your purpose and inspire others along the way.
