Ever look back at your life and notice that it is built up like a tiered cake? One experience leads to the next tier and so on.
Not knowing how to do something should NEVER stop you. A lot of people have big dreams but allow their fears stop them. They won’t do something because they don’t know how. You have to start somewhere…and most important you must take that first step.
A few years ago I joined a fast growing national mortgage company, I had no experience what so ever and as life turns out I grew in wisdom with every step I took to apply myself. Pursued my mortgage broker license… only to have the government eliminate the middle man making my license pursuit null. That did not stop me, soon I had become a corporate trainer with over 2,000 loan officers for a national broker.
Recently, the mortgage industry has had a lot of adjustments as the market movers play their deck regardless of human emotions. Now many are caught in the wind trying to save their homes and some, their jobs.
I began running into more and more clients who based on their work and credit history could qualify for a home loan but they could not follow through on the transaction due to not having enough money for reserve funds required by the banks nor to pay all the parties involved in the mortgage transaction (title company, appraiser, surveyor, home owner insurances, federal and city taxes, underwriter, processor, their broker and those other document fees) … it does add up. City and County Assistance were running out of funds faster than borrowers could request them. A home is probably the biggest purchase most of us ever make.
With this dilemma at hand, George was seeing how frustrated I felt not being able to help my partners and their clients close those transactions; Also, frustrated at the lack of information people really had about the home buying process. With these two frustrations we created a program under our non profit organization – Foreclosure Help for the purpose of rendering support.
The Helpful Hands Foundation core mission is to be involved with acts of goodwill through education, workshops and outreach.
…and it was time to reach out, educate and bring goodwill.
The Helpful Hands Foundation, Inc. is authorized and recognized by the IRS [Internal Revenue Service] as a full service charitable organization exempt under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code as of December 31, 2007.
George and I continue to ask for wisdom and courage to make a difference as we move into an uncertain future.
Daisy Says: Give your dreams a chance, you may make a difference in someones life.
“If all the bank loans were paid, no one could have a bank deposit, and there would not be a dollar of coin or currency in circulation. This is a staggering thought. We are completely dependent on the commercial banks. Someone has to borrow every dollar we have in circulation, cash, or credit. If the banks create ample synthetic money we are prosperous; if not, we starve. We are absolutely without a permanent money system. When one gets a complete grasp of the picture, the tragic absurdity of our hopeless situation is almost incredible — but there it is.” (quote from Robert H. Hemphill, former Credit Manager The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, Senate Document #23, page 102, January 24,1939)
