I was asked if I pray.
I thought this was a trick question… so my natural response was to answer with a question: If a person looked upon a tree with blessing and inspiration and imbued love and gratitude upon that moment versus a person grabbing a prayer book and reading route… who is truly praying?
Things that make you go: hmmmm.
The next question I was asked was if I prayed for material things?
Well, of-course! I am in constant gratitude for the abundance of Love, Wisdom, Peace, Health, Serenity, Joy and things like that; so naturally as any loving child of God on Christmas eve, I am most sincerely going to ask for material things to go with all my intangibles!.
I believe that the material things in life are all about the ‘getting’- everything else is about remembering we already have all we could possibly want… founded in Love.
We should all remember LOVE.
Do you know that ‘getting what you want’ is all about the ‘getting’?
When you visit your local food store – let’s say to buy ingredients for a special meal, well, …you don’t go down the ‘health and beauty’ isle for ingredients. For the most part normally we would go down the isle where we can find our ingredients and of course pay for them and leave.
It is my opinion that when we want to get material things, we need to ‘get ready for the getting’; we need to ask ourselves what we truly really want, we need to then evaluate if we are doing the things we need to do to “get” what we want and then we need to simply go about getting it. Sometimes many of us just ‘flap lip’ to hear our voice.
…and as far as praying, I’ll continue my gratitude prayers- even God wants to feel appreciated.
